From the Heart of France

From the heart of France, I am reflecting on our trip, as it continues to unfold. The quiet of the evening offers a moment to gather my thoughts, to let the experiences of these past days settle and take root.

Limoux lingers in my mind—a place where history, beauty, and the sacred seem to intertwine effortlessly. It’s not just the places we visited but the way they seemed to meet us, inviting us into something deeper, something beyond the surface.

The Basilique Notre-Dame-du-Marceille leaves an impression that’s hard to put into words. There’s a presence there, a stillness that seems to hold the weight of centuries. Standing before the Black Madonna, I am able to feel a resonance, as though she was quietly reminding us of the strength and grace we carry within. It wasn’t just a moment; it was an invitation to remember.

The healing well, with its cool, clear waters, offered a sense of renewal that felt timeless. Whether it was the act of dipping hands into the spring, anointing foreheads, or simply standing in quiet reflection, it felt as though the earth herself was offering something sacred, something personal.

And then there were the mysteries of Saunière’s villa and the Gardens of Magdala, places that seemed to hum with questions and wonder. Walking through the gardens, it feels as though the land is alive, inviting us to pause, to listen, to connect. The view from the Tour Magdala, with the rolling hills stretching endlessly, creates moments of profound connection—to the earth, to the divine, and to the shared journey we are all on.

These experiences are not just about the places themselves but about how they moved through us, how they awaken something within. The energy of Limoux has a way of staying with you, of reminding you that the sacred is never far away.

As we travel onward, I carry these moments with me, woven into the fabric of this adventure. Each step forward feels like stepping into the next chapter, but the echoes of what we’ve experienced so far remain, shaping the journey still to come.
